Piglets

Schothorst Feed Research has several facilities for research with weaning piglets. The pens for piglets consist of twenty departments with ten pens each. Each pen contains six piglets. Here we can conduct product comparisons, dose-response studies, and registration and toleration studies (in conformance with EU guidelines). Schothorst Feed Research also has a facility with 36 metabolic units for piglets which contain no more than two piglets per unit. These metabolic units are used for digestibility studies and infection studies.
