Young stock

Schothorst Feed Research can also assess the effects of feeding strategy, concentrate feed composition and supply and additives on different production data (weight, growth, feed intake and water intake) of young stock. Schothorst Feed Research has 150 calves and heifers. The animals are housed in conditions such as those in practice in a renovated facility with resting boxes. From the age of fourteen days, the animals are kept in different age groups. The youngest animals receive milk from two automatic feeders.
