New manager Sales & Consultancy

Publication date: 04-05-2021

My name is Wim Beeks. I live with my wife Gabrielle in Sint-Oedenrode (Meierijstad). We have 2 sons. I was born and raised in Boxtel and moved to Dronten after high school to study Livestock at the Christian Higher Agricultural College. I carried out my graduation assignment on "the fermentation in the colon of the fattening pig" at the Institute for Animal Nutrition Research in Lelystad.

In 1985 my working life started with a first position as "broiler technical advisor" at Hendrix Voeders in the province of Limburg. This first step started a career of 20 years in the international poultry industry in technical and commercial positions.

Feed provides animals with the necessary basic nutrients for maintenance and growth and is also important for health and well-being. After the announcement (2003) of the EU ban on the use of antibiotics in animal feed from 2006 onwards, the work area "Animal nutrition" has been greatly expanded. After my Food & Agri MBA training in Wageningen in 2004, the animal feed additives segment was growing strongly, and I found a challenge as a regional manager at the company Alltech. After 15 years of working in animal feed additives and ingredients, a new, challenging period is dawning for me as a Sales & Consultancy manager at SFR.

The Netherlands is a "guiding" country in animal nutrition. Worldwide, integrators, feed producers and livestock farmers are looking for innovative technologies and nutritional solutions that contribute to animal health, performance, welfare, sustainable production methods and thus increase the society acceptance of our industry. There is a great need for scientific knowledge and practical research in animal nutrition. SFR translates the latest scientific insights and knowledge into practically applicable nutritional solutions and helps customers to implement them.

This market offers SFR, as a world-leading organization, significant opportunities for further growth of activities. I look forward to taking up my work at SFR and to apply the knowledge of SFR together with our consultants and the customers.

Sincerely, Wim Beeks
