Coronavirus

Publication date: 14-04-2020

The coronavirus is spreading around the world at great speed, nobody will have missed that. In the Netherlands, it has shutdown almost everything. Our government has introduced an “intelligent Lock-down”. This to minimize the spread of the virus, but to allow the economy to continue as much as possible.

For SFR, this means that all colleagues who can work from home no longer come to the office. As a result, our animal care workers, lab employees and test assistants can still carry out their regular activities at the head office in Lelystad.

The researchers and consultants are less committed to working in the office and everyone has now set up their workplace at home. By using email, telephone and video-calls, all work can be carried out as normal. Customers can contact their regular contact person for questions. And consultancy hours are carried out with a video connection as much as possible. So, if you have a question, or when you would like to catch up on a specific topic with your consultant? We are there for you, as normal.

Unfortunately, we had to decide to cancel the Feeds & Nutrition course in June. Due to the international nature of this congress and because we cannot offer it to you online. We are investigating if the congress can take place at the end of this year. When we have more information, we’ll let you know as soon as possible. Other training and courses that were planned will be followed up as far as possible via online meetings. This has the advantage that if you are also forced to work from home or are not allowed to travel, you can now attend these courses from home as well.

Where the Coronavirus initially seemed to be a threat, we also see great initiatives emerging. New lines of communication are being set up, and we see all the work continue as usual. As a result, we will certainly come through this period together, and who knows what it will bring for the future.

From SFR we hope you stay safe, and we hope to hear from you in good health.
