Feeds & Nutrition (15-19 June 2020)

The Feeds and Nutrition course is a yearly recurring event. It is designed to quickly inform the participants about the main theoretical and practical aspects of everything involved in feed production. The course is set up in different modules so that, depending on the interest of the participant, a custom program can be made. All modules are offered over the course of one week.

Learning objective

To inform participants about theoretical and practical aspects of feed formulation, production and quality control for different species.

For whom?

The course is a must attend for nutritionists, purchasing managers, quality assurance managers, feed mill managers and others involved in the feed or allied industry. The course covers theoretical and practical aspects of feed formulation, production and quality control for different species. This training is given in English.

Course design and set up

13 different modules are offered from which you can compose your own program. The program takes the background and knowledge level of the individual participants into account by providing modules that cover principles of nutrition, nutrient evaluation topics, applied nutrition and feed formulation. To give an impression of Dutch practice, an excursion is included in the applied nutrition modules.

The course will be given from 15 to 19 June 2020 at Inntel Hotels Zaandam (close to Amsterdam). About 20 minutes from Schiphol airport.

 Module 3 Intestinal health (Monday 15 June and Tuesday 16 June, 2-day module)
 Module 4 Principles monogastrics (Tuesday 16 June)
 Module 5 Nutrient evaluation poultry (Tuesday 16 June)
 Module 6 Applied poultry nutrition (Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June, 2-day module)
 Module 7 Practical feed formulation poultry (Friday 19 June)
 Module 8 Nutrient Evaluation Swine (Tuesday 16 June)
 Module 9 Applied swine nutrition (Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June, 2-day module)
 Module 10 Practical swine feed formulation (Friday 19 June)
 Module 11 Advanced dairy nutrition (Tuesday 16 June)
 Module 12 Applied dairy nutrition (Wednesday 17 and Thursday 18 June, 2-day module)
 Module 13 Feeding management and ration optimisation (Friday 19 June)

 

Cost

Costs for one-day modules are € 960,- and for two-day modules € 1.715,- (excluding VAT, including lunch and social program). There is an early bird discount of 5%. When registering for two modules per person, there is a discount of 7.5% and for three modules 12.5%. 

Accomodation

The course fee is excluding hotel room. A hotel room can be booked in Inntel hotel Zaandam. 

Social program

As it is quite unique to have so many experts from the feed industry from all over the world together we also organise a social program to network while enjoying some drinks and food. On Monday we organise a dinner cruise in Amsterdam. Participants who start training on Tuesday but arrive on Monday are also very welcome to participate in this boat trip. On Wednesday we organise a dinner in the vicinity of the hotel. All participants are also warmly invited to join this dinner. Participation in the social program is free of charge.
